Beaches in Lefkada: Porto Katsiki
Porto Katsiki beach is 40 kilometres from the capital and is among the island’s most famous beaches. Long and sandy, this beach is surrounded by spectacular hills and reachable by stairs descending along the cliff. Parking and snack bars will be found nearby. Porto Katsiki can also be reached by taxi-boat from the villages of Vassiliki and Nidri. This beach attracts thousands of holidaymakers throughout the summertime.
Beaches in Lefkada: Egremni
Egremni beach is situated thirty kilometres away from Lefkada’s capital. The long sandy beach is surrounded by spectacular barren cliffs. The sandy shore is soft, and therefore the water is extraordinarily crystal. Egremni is well organised with sun beds, umbrellas and a few beach bars. What impresses tourists is the giant size of the beach, the white sand, the abrupt cliffs and, therefore, the crystal water. Egremni is reachable by car and bus. Visitors must climb numerous stairs to the beach.

A small fishing village located 12 kilometres west of the island’s capital with a gorgeous tiny beach and some beautiful taverns. Because of the village’s proximity to several of the most popular beaches of Lefkada (Porto Katsiki, Kathisma and Pefkoulia), it’s become a vital resort attracting thousands of holidaymakers each year. Moreover, the area offers various well-organised accommodations to deal with windsurfers and their equipment.
Beaches in Lefkada: Amousa
It’s a little bit of a drive, 44 km from Lefkada city; however, the journey is pleasant, taking you through wild surroundings. You will finally reach a lovely little bay that is bordered by rocks. The water here is incredibly calm; the beach consists of giant, smooth, white pebbles. A couple of boats bob within the bay, and loungers are also here.

A giant beach located north of Agios Nikitas, 10 kilometres from Lefkada city. One of the finest beaches on the island, it boasts a beautiful turquoise colour, as if some colourful ink has been dropped within the waters. With easy access and several taverns, this beach gets overcrowded in summer.

Poros beach, 25 km from Lefkada city, is among the most charming beaches on the island. This sandy beach boasts crystal-clear waters and has various bars with sun beds.
Beaches in Lefkada: Agiofili
This tiny beach with sandy coast and crystal waters offers various water sports activities, like windsurfing, scuba diving, and kayaking, in a relaxing and carefree atmosphere. Guests can even fancy swimming within the little bay of Ammousa.
The nearby village of Vassiliki offers facilities for those curious about terrain activities, like trekking and mountain biking. Most nearby tourist facilities are in Vassiliki, where rooms are rented, taverns to eat, and bars to fancy yourself. Agiofili can be mainly reached by boat.
Beaches in Lefkada: Desimi / Geni
The bay lies on the little peninsular 22 km far from Lefkada city. It’s surrounded by a large campsite you’ve got to run through to arrive at the pebbly beach. There’s an excellent view from here of the hillsides.
As with nearby Vlicho Bay, the sea may be a little playground for speedboats and little yachts. There are off-white rocks to the left of the beach, within which you’ll recognise a cave. Again, the water here is great despite all the boats.
